Which one's the android? Osaka University's Android Repliee Q2 is on the left, facing graduate student Motoko Noma at a Tokyo exhibition earlier this year. The robot is capable of carrying on a conversation

I got this news from BBC.Amazing stuff....now the question is how much its going to affect IT.?

With the advancement of robotics and AI its becoming an issue. If this clone has enogh smart Ai and selfconsuisness....we are looking forward to a place where you have to give rights to these robots.

Now now but may be in coming 50 yrs.I dont think it makes sense to make robots who can work like humans and even look lke human. If they start making a point will come where they will be the most powerful in IT coz they dont suffer the drawback of getting tired as humans.I have one post written on this topic "can robots get social rights?".

So what do you think ? Are you ready ?

Google and Sky Broadband Joins

It seems now it has become trends where Giants are partnering together to fight the war on internet.

YouWitness launched with partnership of Yahoo and Reuters is going to become a major challenge to YouTube(more about this news click here) and now Google and SkyBroadBand Joins.

Satellite broadcaster BSkyB Plc would tie up with Google Inc to deploy Internet search giant's suite of search, advertising and video functionality on its broadband service.Sky said it would launch an online user-generated video content site, its own e-mail service and a search portal.

The deal is the first of its kind for Google.Revenue generated by click-throughs on sponsored advertising links will be shared between the two firms. Other financial terms of the agreements have not been disclosed. Now thats a big news because thsi will be the first time google will share its revenue with someone.Adwords had been one of the biggest source of revenue generation which is not only helping google but thousand of bloggers and news groups to earn.

Sky also said that its looking forward to launch a prodcut that can allow people to talk on internet and now thats another competition to Skype(Read a more about skype phones here).

So what do you think ? How its going to shape the IT? Will these murgers give people a better future or its just another way of rivals taking on each other.Share your views with me and other readers.
