IT Business Analysis - by Ashish

Technologies that will change IT - Part 2

Welcome to the second and the final part of this post.It took me a while to get the other 6 but i did it.It might be little lenthier for yoou but I have made it simple.Enjoy it.

Nanotechnology

Its not only about It, Nanotechnology is about material science. Its about building functional machines and material that are extremely small. And here you go Nanotechnology can build processors and memory module. Now imagine if you could replace every transistor of a chip with thousand nano trasistors. As data flows in form of 1 and 0 so size doesn’t matter for it. Ultimately you will end up in processors which is thousands time faster.

So after a few years of popularity quad processors could face serious threat from single core processors again but the latter would then be packed with computing power that will be thousand times faster that current processors.

Short distance Wireless Technology

0 to 10 feet the typical range of Bluetooth technology which majorly dominates over short distance wireless technology. One of the major technology called as "Zigbee type" will enable chipsets talking to each other. So your smps will talk to your motherboard when it gets tired and monitors talking to speakers when they get loud. It would be simpler in future to have everything in your phone acting as your central repository for everything.

Long Distance Wireless Technology

So if my monitor can talk to my speakers why cant my computer talk to my gf's computer and tell that I wont be coming for a date today.AM I joking Absolutely not. hats what future of long distance technology will be and they will be wireless
Now even the Wi-Fi is getting older. We have something called as Wi-Max which can make complete campuses, localities

even cities go wireless in seconds. With this technology you can access internet in a plane which is 40000 ft above

High Performacing Computing

Today’s desktop were pasts supercomputers but it seems the quench of computing hasn’t ended. Genetic research, space evolution and weather prediction and others which are emerging as mega consumer of computing needs.

Thankfully HPS or high performance clusters .Basically clustering means group of computers can work together to solve a problem. Like breaking down a math’s problem in 3 steps which can be computed together.
With multi core gaining ground, the computing power that the nest wave of HPC will unleash, promises to be immense. Many believe soon offices ma have their computing power supply on demand through HPC.

Smart Devices

Car parking on their own self,MP3 players turning slow music when u want to relax. Welcome to the world of Smart Devices. Microcontroller which runs your washing machine and processors which runs your desktops are getting higher IQ levels. Combining with an underlying technology like T engine(in last topic) u will soon have microwave which will run on voice commands and sound system will make your music with u.

However the only problem I see is "These devices getting smarter than us" IF that happen Terminator and Matrix is not far enough

Robotics

Robotics is something which always be one of the top technologies. If we see closely all the last 9 tech can be integrated to give robotics a human life. Well now that’s interesting. If somebody remember "I ROBOT" movie has something where they actually showed up how robots will play a major role in Humans life. Robotic vacuum cleaner are already available in India. An Indian science student Shaba has already developed a robot that can detect landmines. Some of the facts floating around who knows what future is still holding for us
